Terms and Conditions
The Peruvian system of services and products sometimes differs to that in your home country. When you book a tour, means that you are accepting automatically our terms and conditions for that reason we strongly suggest you read the following carefully:
1.1 TOURS IN PERÚ: Do Adventures Perú operates in regions where standards of accommodation, transport and services might not be those you would normally expect. However we strive, with all due care and skill, to provide the best services for our clients. Travelling in Peru requires flexibility, patience, broad-mindedness, good humor and understanding that changes may be made without notice due to circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure - see below). By booking any of our tours, you agree to Do Adventures Perú making necessary changes without liability.
1.2 FORCE MAJEURE: Do Adventures is not responsible for force majeure, this is any event that we could not resolve, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. This are events such as war or threat, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, disease, disaster or adverse weather conditions, fire, changes imposed by cancelation or flights rescheduling by an airline or all similar events beyond our control.
2.1 Information: When you providing us the booking form with your full personal details of the passport, a main date and a backup date for the tour (classic Inca Trail, Lares, Salkantay, Machupicchu, Jungle, etc), automatically you are authorizing us to use either of these dates for your reservation. Do-Adventures within the next 48 hours (after you have sent us your booking form and confirm deposit was made) will send you an electronic receipt confirming your trek has been officially booked and also to confirm the exact departure date the tour.
The client must be in possession of a valid passport and all visas required for the whole of the journey and the client accepts responsibility for obtaining the same. Any information or advice given by the company on visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, special equipment, etc is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of the company.
2.2 Changes of personal details for Booking: Your passport number and other information must be valid. Please advise if you change your passport number after booking the tour (especially for booking the classic Inca Trail as if we do not make a change in your official details, you may not be permitted to do the trek). Please Note changing passports' numbers requires an extra fee (we are able to change passports numbers easily on our receipt but it is also extremely important that we make the changes with the Inca Trail authorities).
2.3 Changes of dates for the tour: The changes to the original booking for any reason of the client. Will be charged an extra cost according to the supplier’s policies (hotel, entrances, train, etc.) as result of the amendment. While every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate changes and additional requests, for another hand the changes will depend of the supplier’s availability.
2.4 Substitution of Client: If any member of your party is not traveling more, it may be possible to transfer the booking to another suitable person, provided that written notice at least 20 days prior to departure, it has extra fees according the suppliers policies.
2.5 Student rate: In order to obtain this discount you must have a valid ISIC card. It is important you scan and e-mail this to us at the time of booking and that it is valid on the date you are booked on the Inca Trail/alternative trek/Cultural Tour (you will need to show the real ISIC card http://www.isiccard.com upon your arrival here in Cusco and in Machu Picchu).
3.1 Age & Fitness You must advise us of any medical problems or allergies you may have. You need to be in good physical health, and if your health is questionable, then you should consult a doctor. If you are over the age of 70 years old, then you will need to present us with a current good health medical certificate.
3.2 Minors: No unaccompanied minors (those under 18 years of age) can be accepted on tours operated by ourselves, however older teenagers may be considered provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who accepts full responsibility for them. We reserve the absolute right to decline a booking at our discretion.
3.3 Risks: By booking any of our adventure trips (Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Salkantay, Ausangate, Choquekirao, Lares, Vilcabamba trek etc.) you assume the risks associated with them. For these Do Adventures accepts no responsibility.
Do Adventures Operator is not responsible for injury, sickness, damage, loss, additional expenses, accidental delay or other irregularities which may be caused either through willful or negligent acts or omissions on the part of companies or individuals providing or engaged in transportation, accommodation or other services related to the accomplishment of the tour, or through natural disasters or acts of nature.
3.4 Travel Insurance: Do-Adventures does not provide any kind medical insurance, is for that reason we strongly advise you to take out travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses and emergency repatriation, including rescue and air ambulance. We also recommend that it covers cancellations and loss of luggage. Please forward a copy/ company name and policy number by email or bring the information when you come to our office.
3.5 Force Majeure: Do Adventures is not responsible for force majeure, this is any event that we could not resolve, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. This are events such as war or threat, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, disease, disaster or adverse weather conditions, fire, changes imposed by cancelation or flights rescheduling by an airline or all similar events beyond our control.
3.6 Complaints: If a Passenger has a complaint about any of the tour arrangements he/she must bring it to the attention of the Guide or a representative of Do Adventures Operator at the time so that they may endeavor to rectify the situation. We can only rectify problems if we are made aware of such problems. Failure to complain immediately will prejudice the Passengers right to claim compensation. Should the problem remain unsolved a complaint must be made in writing to ourselves within no more than 10 days of the completion of the holiday.
3.7 Conduct: Do Adventures reserve the right to decline to accept, or to retain, any person as a tour member for any reason that affects the operation of the tour or the rights and welfare or enjoyment of the tour members. The abuse of any alcoholic drink or consumption of any illegal drug during the trip is strictly prohibit.
Prostitution or any compensation of sexual favors is prohibit in any tour or hotel facilities provided by Do Adventures. In addition, any client involved in this type of activities will be disqualified at any time during the trip Do-Adventures assume no responsibility for special arrangements necessary for or by passengers due to his/her behavior.
3.8 Holiday or Election Increments: An increment of *$35 per person is applicable for all treks leaving during these holidays: Christmas (Dec 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th) New Year (Dec 29th, 30th, 31st, Jan 1st). An increment is also applicable in order to leave during election days (people are fined in Peru if they do not vote). We use the increments to pay staff a bonus for leaving on their holiday or it is used to pay the fines.
3.9 WaynaPicchu Mountain: Please confirm if you want to climb Wayna Picchu (the 45-minute climb near Machu Picchu site) as it needs to be booked well in advance too, this is US$65.00 per person if you are doing the Inca trail tours, and it is US$ 20.00 per person if you are doing another kind of tour. there are 2 time sessions: 7 - 8am or 10 – 11am – this also needs to be specified although you need to be flexible to either time. Please note, if you get the permits for the 7am start you will probably have to miss the Machu Picchu guided tour.
4.1 How to book: In order to make a booking With Do Adventures, you need to follow the next steps:

4.2 About the Briefing: The night before your tour there will be a pre-departure talk (briefing) in our office or in your hotel at either 5:00pm or 6:00pm (exact time will be confirmed on your arrival or by email).
4.3 Payment of Final Balance: We require you to pay your final balance in our offices at least 48 hours prior to departure (please advise if you have any delays on arrival). You can pay your balance just in cash and in US dollars or Peruvian soles.
Cancellations: Your deposit is 100% non-refundable. If you need to cancel for any reason, as you approach your tour start date, there may be additional cost due. There are absolutely no exceptions (we do not accept medical notes of any kind) as our out of pocket expenses are non-refundable to us.
